They should NOT let the actors booze at conventions. I've heard of conversations Judge and Shanks have had with fans at the con in NJ that contain information from the set about how people feel about each other which should not be repeated. It's unprofessional.
Funny thing is, it seems to be the SG1 people who behave badly. Then again Jason was pretty bad the first time I saw him, and I've heard Paul McGillion can be appalling in the bar at conventions.
They need to remember that a lot of the people in the audience are kids or teenagers, and behave accordingly.
