You'll LOVE Sanctuary, I'm sure. It's a very smart show, elevates "monster of the week" to a whole new level by hardly ever making the monsters the bad guys. And the mythology is GLORIOUS even if you aren't up on history. But you know, I'm not sure you NEED to be much of a history buff to appreciate the appeal of Sherlock Holmes/Jack the Ripper as former best friends (and quite possible more). Especially when both were in love with the same woman. Oh, and while we're talking about that woman, but on a completely unrelated note:
*fans self* Hello, Doctor Magnus! To this day, I imagine that poor man wakes up from dreams about that experience trying to figure out whether they were nightmares or sex-dreams. It's incredibly hot, but in a very distressing way, lol.
Okay, a few slightly less disturbing Sanctuary screencaps because I simply ADORE the Magnus/Will dynamic (and you won't catch me shipping them this decade), then I'll desist with the pic!spaming
okay, okay, enough pimping my favorite show. any of the other caps i might wish to share are on the spoilery side. but, as long as I'm going all out pimping Sanctuary, two very funny lines from the show
Henry: "Women and geeks first! Oh, no, wait, that's ALL of us..." -- ep 4
Henry: "I thought your mom grounded you?" Ashley: "Uh, she did. I'm just... going out to get some feminine products." Henry: *smirks* "'Feminine' like a crate of uzis?" Ashley: *grins* "Dude, you want me to get us some toys or what?" Henry: "Hey, I never saw you." Ashley: "Attaboy!" -- ep 1
okay, will stop obsessively pimping Sanctuary now, lol. silly of me to bother since you not only want to WATCH the show, you want to LIKE it, lol. which i really think you will. it's clever, relevant, and at 80% green-screen, eye-candy abounds.
lmao, nope, can't have a kid finding out what grownups get up to behind closed doors *shakes head* which may be why my sister also ended up as a teenaged mother *shakes head* not that I can complain for one second given how wonderful and amazing my niece turned out. As for violence, we were a military family and it was EXPECTED that one of these days I was going to be shooting people for a living *shrug*

"I know what you're trying to do, Doctor! You're trying to profile me, like a common criminal. Well, here's a little secret for your books. I'm NOT so common..." Serious bonus points to any woman who can make four little words into a simultanous come-on/death-threat
