Their interactions are just so realistic and I can hear their voices in my head, it's so well-written.
I know, right? A lot of Snape fics tend to romanticize him but I love IBO because it doesn't, even as the author believably takes him and Harry from mutual loathing to a more cooperative understanding. They really are one of my favorite pairings (both slashy and not).
