True. If it were a zombie/vampire ship, that contraction would be made of several different kinds of win :) As it is, not so much.

Love the icon. But I have friends whose standard response to me even hinting that I might start spoiling is to grab the torches and pitchforks, so I always try to be careful :)

Basically, near the end of the first season, Beckett finds out that Castle is digging into her past and she tells him that, if he keeps digging, their association is over but he figures it might help her heal so he's willing to keep digging and risk never having her tolerate his presence again because he wants her to have closure. I just find that so beautifully selfless of him that it makes me want to smush him to pieces.

Well, I never had a good realtionship with my father, but I always interacted with Mom a lot like Castle's daughter does with him, up to and including guilt and self-imposed punishment for keeping shit from her. Granted, I'm a complete freak and have been for most of my life ;p

*nods* Castle and Lie to Me both are really promising in terms of normal families being portrayed instead of these family units laden with angst, competition, contempt, deception, and just all manner of things that don't represent the vast majority of real families out there. I mean, yeah, all families have problems, but not like they show up on TV...
