What TPTB of Stargate should have done with Cam & Vala is done (yet another) spin off. But no they had to try and keep SG1 going while pretty much shutting out the leads from that to let Cam & Vala take over. Don't get me wrong, I love Vala. Cam (to me) was pretty much John Crichton in a different show. So don't hate me.
Yes having a job and sometimes the same job for years and years and years is a good thing but for actors, sometimes it's not about the JOB so much as the challenge to play some one else. When an actor is locked into a 22 eps season show, it makes it harder to play other characters from time to time. Most movies probably take at least 3 to 6 months (sometimes longer) to shoot and if you're locked into a 22 eps season show you have if your a lead, probably about 3 months to film a movie, if your contract allows for it. You see where I'm going? ;)
I don't know...I kinda like that he's doing a lot of family/kids movies. He was really good in The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain.
