Can't brain today.

I am the biggest fucking moron alive.

Turned up to exams today and forgot my Transfer of Land Act. Considering it's a LAND LAW EXAM, you'd think that'd be kinda up there on my 'exam essentials' list but no.

Panicking so hard I was completely frozen and emotionless, I trot off to the bookstore and spent $30 on another copy. Only to endure the horrible miserable exam and not even reference it once.

So I wasted money on something I should've needed but didn't actually use which means:
a) PRECIOUS PRECIOUS MONEY SPENT ON STUPID SCHOOL STUFF OMG and,
b) I TOTALLY MISSED A ZILLION IMPORTANT FACTS AND I'M DOOMED TO REPEAT THIS CRAPPY UNIT.

Note my priorities. That kinda sums it up. Ugh.

Edit: Also pissing me off? As a post-exam de-stress ritual, I was all set to picspam CM to make up for last week except of course I brought the wrong usb which doesn't have the pictures which totally invalidates the whole idea behind a PICSPAM, doesn't it?

That sucks. Are you able to return the book for a refund? Sorry about the test and the usb thingy...that picspam is going to be awesome when you get to it : )

AHH! *tacklehugs* You are completely awesome, you know that? I think my worst fault is not that I suck, but that I think I do and then enact this whole 'self-fulfilling prophecy' thing whereby I self-sabotage and when things inevitably go crappily, it's like vindication. And so it continues.

I totally wasn't going to go back to the bookstore. Why bother? They wouldn't take the book back, I'd asked earlier [since I only needed it for my exam]. But after reading your comment, I thought, screw it, why not go and badger them anyway? Who knows? Maybe something good will come of this. Stranger things have happened.

And when I went in, there was this new chick there- not the one I'd spoken with earlier- and she told me what I'd expected, I couldn't return it for a refund BUT I could exchange it for a voucher! You have no idea how happy I was. I mean, $30 isn't all that much in perspective, but it was just the whole symbol of it- at first, it was the straw on the camel's back, like, I was seriously on the verge of ditching my exam because it was just too much. And then being able to exchange it? Changed my view on the entire day, it wasn't the day that I defeated myself, it was about overcoming my own stupid preconceptions about life and the futility of trying. You're wonderful. ♥

That's flippin sweet. And to think I wasnt going to say anything because I didnt want you to read my comment, roll your eyes, and secretly wish you could take the smile that was my umbrella and shove it up my bum. I am glad I didnt listen to that instinct. And really glad you got a voucher : )
