I've read all this stuff about how LJ's in trouble and the apocalypse is coming. I wasn't going to worry about it now til I heard more official sounding stuff, but figured, heyyy, why not save my journal on ljbook. I do it every now and then because it gives me a feeling of security.

But I've been trying all day and the blasted site won't let me save it because there are too many users currently using this site. Which makes me even more uneasy because then OMFG, THERE'S DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT. *FLAILS*

On a more positive- or negative, lol, depending which way you look at it- I discovered the most wonderful new comm, i_hate_twilight, as well as one of the funniest recappers ever, who's bravely taken on the Twilight books and just slayed me with her humor.

OK, now I'm freaked out. I mean, I dont think you need a boatload of people to run something like LJ but seriously, where else will people have to go. MySpace is lame and I am constantly considering getting rid of my facebook account. I come on here to chat to people, in the article they made it seem like everyone on here just wants to read Harry Potter kiddie porn or something. Lots of us are just regular folks who found a place to squee about our stuff. I hope someone realizes that this site, and others like it, bring people together and in hard times like we are going through now we really need it.

*clings* I just got to know you, I don't want to lose you and the other people I've met on this site. I'm fervently hoping it's just an overreaction and the whole thing will blow over, although it's so crappy that all those people lost their jobs. :[

And totally, the other sites suck. I've always held that myspace and facebook are about spamming people's pages with random comments like 'how r u?' and 'hope ur good'. I can see it as a planner of some sort, to arrange group hangouts and stuff, but not somewhere you can talk about issues or interests and share thoughts with other people. I came here because the whole journal aspect appealed to me, and now there's all this freaky end-of-days rumors going around and it's SO NOT COOL. Ugh.

And god, why tar everyone with the same brush? I don't read HP, let alone HP kiddie porn, so wtf, get off my back. There's nothing wrong with chatting about CM and other shows, nothing illegal going on there so I'd wish they'd quit bringing up that porn thing because it totally overshadows what LJ is about.

I hope someone realizes that this site, and others like it, bring people together and in hard times like we are going through now we really need it.
