'... Slow it down, make it stop, or else my heart is going to pop...'

Of the most epic awesome...a Twilight parody of unparalleled excellence.

I am so in love with this clip. It starts off slow, like a re-enactment of the movie with added snark-'if you were smart, you'd stay away from me', 'well, let's say for argument's sake that I'm not smart...'- then it just explodes into hilarious fun.

'k, so a week after the fact, I finally managed to see Blood on the Scales.

'We've made a veritable habit of defying the odds, particularly William Adama. He is...' *draws shaky breath* '...alive...' *sniffles* She's losing control of her emotions, you can see tears gathering in her eyes, god, Mary has the most expressive eyes.

'...he is alive and he will take command of this fleet again and when that day comes, he's gonna know- who stuck with him and who ran.'

That is the best delivery ever. I love that she's all over the place, she's a mess, and yet she summons up the power and determination to coerce them into bending to her will. In that one line, she's getting high-pitched and sounding desperate, she's falling apart and you think this woman's just clinging to the last vestiges of a fading useless hope, you think she's out of the game, then in a heartbeat, her tone turns to steel and she's fierce and demanding and critical. Shaming the Cylons. [frakking Tory. Pisses me off every time]

'Now who do you wanna be?'
Questioning, almost- gentle. IDK. Her schoolteacher voice?

'Who do you wanna be?!'
Then she switches to the motivational coach role, like at a pep rally or something. And most of the Cylons can't even look at her at this point. Except Leoben, but I think he's already made up his mind at this point to help her. He's the one that provided the Magic Wireless, isn't he?

So that scene was of itself utterly brilliant, because Roslin's crumbling, her world's torn to pieces again, and she still pwns everyone in the room. Cylons, all of them, and they do as she says.

'I will use every cannon, every bomb, every bullet, every weapon I have down to my own eye-teeth to end you. I swear it. I am coming for all of you."

Frakking hell. *shudders* Anyone who says they weren't scared? IS LYING OR SO TRAUMATIZED THEY REPRESSED ALL MEMORY OF THE MOST TERRIFYING THREAT EVER.

Okay, now the major important stuff is done, just randomly:

- Athena? HATEHATEHATE. Wtf is up with her mood swings? Is she on crack? One moment, she kills Natalie for talking to Hera and another, she's perfectly okay with a BLONDE SIX LIKE THE ONE IN HER VISION saying, 'I've got Hera' and picking up and holding her baby girl. SRSLY, writers, what in the frak? Did they reconcile somewhere along the way, what?

- you know, the writers are usually so focused on showing how not in control Roslin is, how limited her leadership is, that it's nice to hear '10 ships out of 35' heeded her and remained behind, taking their chances with the Cylon base ship at her say-so. That was a really sweet moment for me, like, look, people actually support President Roslin, yayz!

- Gaeta, 'But you did give aid and comfort to the enemy. Saul Tigh was a Cylon'- um, why is everyone so quick to hate on Tigh and other Cylons, when they were the leaders of the New Caprica Resistance? It'd make more sense to execute Baltar or other human collaborators before HEROES like Tigh. He lost an eye to the Cylons, come on, it's not like he was fighting for them, he was on the side of the humans. Give the man credit.

- why even pretend to have a trial? That was a kangaroo court. Roslin had an open court case, in front of everyone, with proper judges and witnesses and stuff. This was in a closed room with a foregone verdict. I wish Zarek had been executed a looong time ago.

- why does every Six want to frak Baltar? And btw, where is head!Six lately? I haven't watched the show in ages, just kept up with recaps.

- What's with Baltar's prophetic dreams and why doesn't Roslin ever get useful practical visions? She's supposed to be this mystical figure and yet Baltar's got more accurate powers. Not to mention a cult. She needs one, too, I mean, who wouldn't join the Cult of Laura Roslin?

- I loved Adama going, 'Give me a weapon' two seconds before walking into a room full of people that want him dead. Like, what if the guard hadn't had a spare gun? He'd've just stomped on in there and passive-aggressive'd the hell out of everyone?

- what's happening with all the mutineers? Why aren't they being executed? Can you really trust guys that were willing to riddle you full of bullets, I mean, really?

- I get this thrill every time Laura climbs down a ladder. There's nothing like watching her legs as she descends, lol.

- and does she whack Bill on the shoulder? I couldn't tell, but it looks like she thumps him, all, 'don't ever scare me like that again'. Heh. Cute!

Random meme.

1] Make a list of 5 things you can see:
MP3 player, purse, Fantales [yum], Jim Butcher book, computer
[2] Would you ever get plastic surgery?
No. I don’t care how safe they say it is. I’ll just stay away from mirrors.
[3] What are 5 things you usually keep in your pocket/bag/wallet?
Money. Receipts. Old bus tickets. Picture of Torri Higginson. Random cards- library, video store, gift cards, etc.
[4] What person in your life has made the biggest impact on you?
She’s not in it anymore, but Marina.
[5] What is your dream occupation? (It doesn't have to be realistic)
Being paid to fangirl. Excessively. :P
[6] If you had a choice would you rather fall in love with the man of your dreams (and him fall in love with you) or win the lottery?
Fall in love, hell yeah. I believe all the problems in my life could be solved if I was in love. Because I’d be too ecstatically happy to notice.
[7] Who is the last person you hugged?
My grandmother.
[8] What is your current obsession?
The Lost World. Marguerite Krux. M/R.
[9] What's the last text message you received?
Mother. She’s maxing out her ‘overprotective maternal tendencies’ lately, making me text her so she knows I haven’t been kidnapped or anything. *rolls eyes* In response to me making fun of her for that, she goes, ‘how could I not worry about my most precious one?’ Which is aww and sweet and all, but really. 20 years old. And she’s still keeping tabs on me. O.o
[9b] If you had to live in a fictional place, what would it be?
The Lost World, of course! Although Atlantis or the TARDIS would also suit me fine.
[10] What sites do you always visit when you go online?
My yahoo and optus email accounts, fanfiction.net, livejournal.
[11] Last thing you bought?
‘Another One Bites the Dust’- Jennifer Rardin. I don’t usually buy books, but I was desperate.
[12] What random useless fact did you learn today?
Mother is creepy. She turned up in the underground lab just an hour ago to see if I wanted a lift. *shudders* Considering I’m supposed to be studying, and was- well, not- that sent me into panic mode, lol.
[13] What do you usually drink in the morning?
Nothing usually, except a gulp of water, or of coke.
[14] What would you tell your 12 year old self if you could?
Don’t be a drama queen, have some dignity [I have better self-control now than I did back then].
I’d give her a list of tv shows to watch and people to look up online so that I wouldn’t be years behind the game in my fandoms.
Don’t try so hard to impress people. I wasted a few years of my life trying to fit in, but I was happiest when I broke free and did my own thing.
Pay more attention, give more love to certain people, you never know when they’ll be gone.
[15] If you could play any musical instrument what one would you play?
Keyboard.
[16] Do you have any siblings?
No.

WATCH TLW ALREADY. I ORDER YOU. [yes, I am obsessed]
[18] If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Your home.
Well, I can think of a few people I’d like to stalk right now… :D
[19] Whats your favourite kind of weather?
Winter. When I can wear multiple layers and sit in front of a heater.
[20] What's the last show/gig/concert you went to?
Never been to a concert, unless you count high school productions, in which case, Calamity Jane. Oh, does Armageddon count? I met David Hewlett and Kavan Smith!
