*bounces* I never got the point of these 'chat' things, I always thought LJ was sufficient for any conversations I wanted to have, but there I was, innocently checking my emails when a pop-up message from odakota_rose appears! Couple hours later, I am entirely convinced of the value, nay, the necessity of this IM feature. *nodnod* ^_^

Exams...oh, joy.

I had fun yesterday, rocking up to the gym only to find my name wasn't on the list anywhere. I told myself to stay calm, which totally failed when I read my schedule and saw the location code was GEEV [the Geelong campus], as opposed to GWPV [the Waurn Ponds campus], and I flailed alround like a hysterical flaily thing, despairing over whether this meant I had to get myself to the city campus and OMG, there wasn't a bus that would reach it in time. [Like I even WANT to sit the exam in the first place, ugh]

Thankfully, I regained my composure before bolting onto the nearest bus, and realized that because I'm off-campus, they just stuck the bunch of us in the science building because we're SPECIAL. And I don't know what's with the location code, that makes no sense to me, THANK YOU, ADMIN PEOPLE. *mutters darkly* Ah well, at least this was less panic-worthy than last year, when I got locked in the bag room. You can go in, but getting out? Whole other story. I was pulling for all I was worth, kicking and banging the damn door and it wouldn't budge. I was on the verge of hyperventilating, yo. I had to make myself sit down and get a grip, and thankfully, someone else came in and I raced to put a chair in the way, grabbed my things and then got the frak out of there. *shudders*

01. Anyone who looks at this entry has to post this meme and their current wallpaper in their livejournal. [Wow, demanding, much?!]
02. Explain in five sentences/points why you're using that wallpaper.

Not so much a wallpaper as...um, me with my severe lack of artistic talent copy/pasting in paint. Yeah.

1. Until this week, my background was just Marguerite/Roxton [TLW]. But Mentalist love has been steadily stealing more and more of my heart, so I bowed to the pressure and gave Jane and Lisbon equal portion of the territory.
2. Proximity alert! I do so get a thrill out of seeing my ships ignore the concept of personal boundaries. *wriggles*
3. Have you noticed they're pretty?
4. Really really pretty?
5. I can't put any of Robin's pictures as my background because I know I'll get weird looks from people.

-

Speaking of which- have you had your recommended daily dose of Robin?

Mentalist- Season 2 speculation

If, if, IF Lisbon has to be written out and I'm begging and pleading with any higher power that will hear me to make sure this doesn't happen, I'm hoping it'll be in a pleasant, non-fatal manner. I'm sick of shows that KILL OFF characters, like the writers are being petty and vindictive [some characters they'll keep bringing back just to kill off again and again, just to enjoy repeatedly driving that knife through our hearts]. Keep it open so that Robin can return, please?

But worst case scenario? Who's thinking maybe Red John'll get her? I mean, the season finale shows us that he was watching the events that took place in the basement through those cameras. He knows her face, he knows how important she is to Jane. He knows Jane doesn't give a damn about dying himself, but that Lisbon means a lot to him. What better way to torment him than through her?

And THIS comment creeps me out. I thought it was just a toothless threat, but what if...?

Hardy: Tell you what, release me and...I'll try and persuade Red John to kill you quick and clean instead of slow and nasty.

OMG. *flails* Maybe it wasn't a threat but a promise?! *meep* I sincerely hope the writers aren't sick enough to do this, because that'd break me for sure.

-

Also?

Trivia for the finale:

"In the final scene where Jane is walking past a stand of orange trees, he stops at one of the trees and plucks an orange which he begins to peel. This is a very visual allegory concerning the "tree of life." It implies that possibly Jane is considering Lisbon's earlier statement in the cellar about choosing life over his own self-destructive quest for Red John. Although the tree of life is prevalent in many cultures and religions, this particular tree is most likely the tree of life mentioned in both the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible. Considering that Lisbon's cross is plainly in view when she confronts Jane in the cellar and that the background music playing when Jane takes the orange was composed by J.S. Bach (he wrote church music as an expression of his own religious feelings), the allegorical context is Judeo-Christian in nature."

QUIZ: WHICH FANTASY WRITER ARE YOU?

Your result:

David Eddings (b. 1931)

-13 High-Brow, 3 Violent, -27 Experimental and 25 Cynical!

Congratulations! You are Low-Brow, Violent, Traditional and Cynical! These concepts are defined below.

David Eddings is the best-selling author of several series of fantasy novels, the most famous being The Belgariad (1982-84) and The Malloreon (1988-92). These books have become almost epitomic of the kind of fantasy that is fast-paced, full of humorous dialogue and written to entertain. And entertain they do. Few other writers have Eddings' ability to create characters that not only makes the reader feel as if he or she knows them, but are also very likeable. Perhaps this is due to Eddings unusual path to writing fantasy: He had tried writing in other genres with moderate success when he discovered that fantasy, a genre he had hitherto not been interested in, sometimes sells very well, and therefore started turning an old sketch of a map into a series of books. Without an interest in experimenting with form or pushing the boundaries of the genre, Eddings created the penultimate light entertainment instead, trusting his readers to keep reading because of charming characters and exotic, though not particularly original, environments.

After the success of The Belgariad and The Malloreon, Eddings turned to writing fantasy which was, supposedly, aimed at a more adult audience. The tendency towards violence as entertainment that had been present through-out his early works grew more prominent in the series of The Elenium (1989-91)and The Tamuli (1992-94). It was also around this time that David Eddings wife, Leigh Eddings, was credited as the co-author of his books, though they admitted that she had been contributing from the very beginning.

Though Eddings isn't the most high cultured of fantasy writers, few would dispute that when it comes to charm, he has no rivals.

You are also a lot like J R R Tolkien.

If you want something more gentle, try Robert Jordan.

If you'd like a challenge, try your exact opposite, Tove Jansson.

Your score

This is how to interpret your score: Your attitudes have been measured on four different scales, called 1) High-Brow vs. Low-Brow, 2) Violent vs. Peaceful, 3) Experimental vs. Traditional and 4) Cynical vs. Romantic. Imagine that when you were born, you were in a state of innocence, a tabula rasa who would have scored zero on each scale. Since then, a number of circumstances (including genetical, cultural and environmental factors) have pushed you towards either end of these scales. If you're at 45 or -45 you would be almost entirely cynical, low-brow or whatever. The closer to zero you are, the less extreme your attitude. However, you should always be more of either (eg more romantic than cynical). Please note that even though High-Brow, Violent, Experimental and Cynical have positive numbers (1 through 45) and their opposites negative numbers (-1 through -45), this doesn't mean that either quality is better. All attitudes have their positive and negative sides, as explained below.

High-Brow vs. Low-Brow

You received -13 points, making you more Low-Brow than High-Brow. Being high-browed in this context refers to being more fascinated with the sort of art that critics and scholars tend to favour, while a typical low-brow would favour the best-selling kind. At their best, low-brows are honest enough to read what they like, regardless of what "experts" and academics say is good for them. At their worst, they are more likely to read what their neighbours like than what they would choose themselves.

Violent vs. Peaceful

You received 3 points, making you more Violent than Peaceful. Please note that violent in this context does not mean that you, personally, are prone to violence. This scale is a measurement of a) if you are tolerant to violence in fiction and b) whether you see violence as a means that can be used to achieve a good end. If you are, and you do, then you are violent as defined here. At their best, violent people are the heroes who don't hesitate to stop the villain threatening innocents by means of a good kick. At their worst, they are the villains themselves.

Experimental vs. Traditional

You received -27 points, making you more Traditional than Experimental. Your position on this scale indicates if you're more likely to seek out the new and unexpected or if you are more comfortable with the familiar, especially in regards to culture. Note that traditional as defined here does not equal conservative, in the political sense. At their best, traditional people don't change winning concepts, favouring storytelling over empty poses. At their worst, they are somewhat narrow-minded.

Cynical vs. Romantic

You received 25 points, making you more Cynical than Romantic. Your position on this scale indicates if you are more likely to be wary, suspicious and skeptical to people around you and the world at large, or if you are more likely to believe in grand schemes, happy endings and the basic goodness of humankind. It is by far the most vaguely defined scale, which is why you'll find the sentence "you are also a lot like x" above. If you feel that your position on this scale is wrong, then you are probably more like author x. At their best, cynical people are able to see through lies and spot crucial flaws in plans and schemes. At their worst, they are overly negative, bringing everybody else down.

Take Which fantasy writer are you? at HelloQuizzy

He's one of my favorite authors! I know, I know, people call his books shallow and cliched, but I enjoy them and re-read them all the time! I don't give a damn the characters follow standard fantasy stereotypes, they are amazing and I love them so. *dances* This quiz is magic, how does it come up with such a perfect answer?

SHAKE IT! By Metro Station. I actually love the song more than the video, I've been blasting it at home while I'm doing embarrassing dance moves all around the house. [Mother busted me rocking out while doing the dishes...*facepalm*] Out of loyalty to my ship, I post the fandom-relevant vid, but if you want to check out the original music video, tis here.

oh, you have the mentalist as a wallie!!:D

Oh, yeah the comment was really creepy. Now I'm waiting that Lisbon is Kidnapped by Red John and that Jane will save her. Now, THAT would be awesome!

I discovered that song last summer, and I love it since! I think that the official video of this song, doesn't go with the song, in my opinion

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Hee, I DO, I DO, it gives me so much joy!

Yeah, IKR? I thought it was just him trying to weasle his way out of a bad situation, but now I'm not so sure! I totally love the sound of that plot- kidnapped Lisbon! Jane angst! Jane to the rescue!- as long as he does end up saving her. It'd be too tragic if he didn't. Hey, you wanna write this fic for me? I could use cheering up. :P

Wow. *blinks* I'm really late to the party, huh? I can't believe the song's that old, where was I when it came out?! Grr. But I luffs it so, it's all happy and bouncy and I sing along even though the lyrics are really suss and kinda dirty when you think about it, so I don't analyze it too much, heh.

I think that the official video of this song, doesn't go with the song, in my opinion

THANK YOU. I was going to post that but then it just irritated me that these guys wimped out on following the spirit of their song- it's about, well, to put it crudely, getting lucky with a girl, right? So WHY chicken out with that vid? I don't get it! So I went with the Jello hotness, lol.

[identity profile] highonstargate.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I could try!:P I need to write something this summer!

It came out a couple of months earlier, when I found it. and don't worry! I'm always late for most of the songs. I don't listen to the radio much:P (except for Virgin Radio at Montréal)

Lol, at you for comment of the lyrics.

True! They could of done a PG version, like he picks up the girl and everything goes on behind a door, or something like that. (w/e)

Jello forever!:P

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent! *claps hands* I need more people writing for my ship, lol. Btw, check out my fic (http://borg-princess.livejournal.com/66994.html?view=623282#t623282) sometime, if you get a chance?

Yeah, I hate listening to the radio, if it was just music, awesome, but I get so sick of the commentary. Why do we need their inane comments? Especially when they TALK OVER THE MUSIC, ARGH!

:D I calls it like I sees it.
And yes, the music vid ruined it for me so I'm glad I got the Jello vid because I totally thought of it as this bouncy, romantic song and then they try to make it like a bunch of friends on a night out, wtf?

Oh, while I was youtubing for the music vid for that song, I came across this vid here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAvyzqbwFL8)- it's kinda lame but in a really funny way, like, they're not trying to be cool, it's just dorky and hilarious.

*cheers* Jello to infinity and beyond! :P

[identity profile] woodchoc-magnum.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
You and I have the same colour scheme for our XP. That's funny and cool.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Color scheme? Dark and light? Or...*baffled*

Hey, I just nipped over to your journal and saw your background- a really really cute picture of Thomas in what looks like medical scrubs?- but I don't see the similarity! *flails* Help me see the light, I want to share this with you!

[identity profile] woodchoc-magnum.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
LOL you're too funny!

All I meant was that you and I are both using the silver Windows XP colour scheme for our taskbars! Nothing too exciting I'm afraid.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh...*feels silly* Righty-o, then. Ah, well, at least I amused you, it wasn't a total waste. :P

[identity profile] sunkrux.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Gee, wonder where you got that awesome Marguerite & Roxton pic. ;) LOL

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I KNOW. :D *luffs you muchly* Owe you big time!

[identity profile] sunkrux.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Naw you don't. I was happy to share it. :D

[identity profile] sapphs.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
I LVOE the closeness of those two pics *squees just a little*

And the only thing I can remember from that vid is SIMON BAKER. SHIRTLESS. That is all

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
IKR?! FLAILYFLAIL! *gazes at pretty ships*

Lol, I was like WHOA, what the-? And then realized they were editing in scenes from their other movies. Lol. SHIRTLESS SIMON FTW. I am so giddy over this man, it's ridiculous. :D

[identity profile] mcgarrygirl78.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
IM'ing is such fun, you can go on and on for hours and not even realize it.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, totally. We were ten minutes shy of three hours when her parents interrupted. It was great because she hasn't been on LJ lately so I got to catch up. *twirls*

[identity profile] mere-dil.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL.. quite funny situations you've been in .. hahaha

do I have to copy the meme??.. 'coz I don't have "Mentalist" wallpaper :-p
mine is actually silly.. :-p

Don't say that, it's confirmed "Robin is NOT leaving the show" because they're bringing a new
character as her "EX-BOYFRIEND' and mentor *ahem* YIKESSSSSSSSSS *jumping*

seriously, after I read your Mentalist fiction, I think the quiz said so much about you and I can see it in your writing too.. but I don't think you're narrow-minded, are you?

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad I could provide some amusement for you. :P Yeah, I've gotta laugh at myself otherwise my heart would give out from the stress.

No, sweetie, you don't have to! I wasn't going to do the meme and then I decided if I had to, it may as well be something interesting so I went and copy/pasted my two favorite ships together. I lack your artistic skillz. *shameface* But they be pretty, so I'm content.

OMGFLAIL! I'm so terribly thrilled to hear this news!
But I don't want her ex-boyfriend around, goddamnit! He's going to ruin the show for me. Please say he's only there for a couple of episodes? Because I love my team the way it is and I can't stand the idea of someone she has personal history ruining the dynamics of the show! I want her and Jane to be all cute and adorable, I don't need this guy interfering, grr!

Ooh, you read my fic? *quivers with anticipation* What did you think?

*snorts* I am totally not narrow-minded as a person, I'm very open-minded and tolerant, but I think it means that when I read books, I have very specific tastes and I don't branch out much, which is true. 90% of what I read is romance because I know I'll get a happy ending, lol.

[identity profile] luisa-f.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually my first thought after reading the spoilers was yay! She can't be leaving, they're writing an arc, they're bringing in an ex-boyfriend, Jane angst, jealous Jane, THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES.

I'm trying to stay positive, there is so much crap happening right now, and this is my happy show, I can't lose it. I need to believe it's just rumors.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
There be spoilers? WHERE?! *flails*

Hmm. Okay, first off, let me say I'm THRILLED Lisbon's not leaving, that's AWESOME news. But I'm really irritated by the news of the ex-boyfriend. Because that's so cliched! I suppose it could be worse, they could've written in a new love interest and that would have me sticking pins in voodoo dolls, but I thought the first season was perfect, the way they focused on internal relationships in the team, and I really don't like the idea of an ex getting in the way. Depends on her interactions with him- I wonder if it'll be hostile or whether they parted on good terms and so they'll be all comfortable and cosy with each other and Jane will be head!sploding in the background...the ONLY good part of having an ex in the picture is the jealous!Jane angst, hee... :D

Damn it, I have an exam on in half an hour, gotta scoot, but this will be running through my head the whole time now...*facepalm* Lol. :P

[identity profile] luisa-f.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Crap! I think I had another tab open and I got confused and I mixed up both posts and I thought you were talking about the casting spoiler that's come up, sorry, I hope you're not too spoilerphobe.

You can find the spoilers here: http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/2009/06/exclusive-mentalist-new-recurring.html

I think they'll find a way to not go overboard with the relationship stuff, I trust the writing team since they did so well the first season and they seem to know how to keep it balanced with the little moments during each episode and the occasional shippy episode.

I don't think the ex will get in the way, I feel it'll help move the relationship forward, and it'll be great for the tension, just like that kid from Bloodshot didn't kill R/V, I don't ship them but I gotta admit it was fun seeing Rigsby freaked out and being whumped.

I'm expecting the ex to bring Jane angst.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Hon, I am the furthest thing from a spoiler phobe- I tell everyone I'm the biggest spoiler whore in existence, I live to be spoiled. It's how I manage to deal with disappointment- as bad as losing a favorite character is, it's a lot worse for me if I don't have advance notice. KATE. *sniffles* Forewarned is forearmed, 'tis my motto.

Okay, my first reaction is that sounds ghastly. Seven episodes? And he takes charge of the Red John investigation? And he's not the least bit swayed by Jane's influence? Whoo boy, Jane ain't gonna be a happy camper...

But you're right. I'm gonna take a deep breath and trust these people. I was hoping it wouldn't be tested this soon and not on something like Lisbon's personal relationships, but okay. Faith, it's not optional, I have it or I don't. Right, then.

With Bloodshot, I'm not a Rigsby/Van Pelt [Grigsby *g*] shipper, so it didn't bother me seeing her with that guy. In fact, I was super happy it wasn't Lisbon with a new love interest, and then when I found out what was happening, doubly relieved that she wasn't the one being conned by a guy out for revenge.

I've watched the scene where she comes to the rescue so many times and it's really cute how Van Pelt goes, 'Oh, thank god' when she sees him get shot and then when she sees Lisbon running up, she repeats, 'Oh, thank god' with extra emphasis. You'd think the baddie being put down would merit all her relief, but she truly relaxes and feels like it's over and she's safe when she sees Lisbon. Aww!

Again, I'm not a Grigsby shipper [seriously, why are the ship names so dire in our fandom? There's also Jace and Rigsbon, and I'm trying to figure out what the other variations would be- Choli? Chobon?] but that scene in the bathroom? Made me really emotional and just tugged at the heartstrings. It was a really wonderful moment for the characters.

Jane!angst is all well and good but...I'm hoping it's more 'hey, someone stole my favorite toy, no fair' rather than 'Lisbon is the love of my life, how dare he?' kinda thing. Way too early for that.

[identity profile] luisa-f.livejournal.com 2009-06-12 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Van Pelt knows mommy Lisbon will take care of everything, and Jane is hilarious "what happened? Did something good happen?"

God the ship names in our fandom are horrible, I absolutely refuse to use jisbon, NO THANKS. I'd rather take the extra seconds to write full names. we need to come up with something better, something that will vanish that horrid mash up forever.

I hope so too, it's too early for a "omg the love of my life is being stolen away" jealousy. But these writers have always managed to keep the angst in check, a little bit of angst but not so much so, they seem to be very aware that the show works mainly because it doesn't get too heavy and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-15 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
'Didn't I say no excitement of any kind?!' *g*

Ha, I was reading through some quotes and Jane actually calls her 'Mom' at one point! And that nasty jackass from Thin Red Line had no patience for the team 'waiting for mommy'. :D

You know gets me? As horrible as Jisbon is, people who use it can't even spell it properly! I see 'Jibson' a lot and it just irritates me, that they want to use this awful ship name and then can't even get it right, argh!

I don't know if it's any better, but I'm pushing for 'Jello'. :P I came up with it as a joke with Sapphy but now it's spread and other people are using it, so...cool. ^_^

Do you watch The Closer? I hated that Brenda and Will had an affair in the past but the way the show brings it in now and then is pretty amusing, like she guilts him into giving her a few boxes of cookies when she's stressing out over a case and needs a fix, heh.

he show works mainly because it doesn't get too heavy and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Totally! It's not L&O or CSI and I'm so thrilled about that. We don't need unrelenting darkness, the show hits the right notes with the humor and light-heartedness.

Though that's funny when you consider how pretty much every member of the team is haunted by or at least possesses something resembling a dark past, lol. What was with Rigsby in Russet Potoes? I wasn't sure if they were implying something there or... O.o Hmm.

[identity profile] luisa-f.livejournal.com 2009-06-15 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
In Ladies in Red, she's all OMG! Don't get yourself killed and he calls her mom. That guy from TRL, what an asshole, I was so glad he couldn't get the guy neener! neener! Idiot.

I HATE jisbon with a passion, and it doesn't even make sense as a mash up, it should be jalis (which makes me think of Guadalajara, Jalisco) or janlis, or even paters (if we go by first names), but who the hell came up with jisbon? And why do people keep using it? We should kill it like we killed shweir (and at least it was just some harmless little town in Lebanon).

No, I don't, but too hope they choose not to get too heavy on the angst, not all relationships end on bad terms and bring years of resentment and heart ache, some people do move on. And it's possible for the guy to not like Jane on the bases of Jane being a jackass, it doesn't have to be because they'll be fighting it over for Lisbon, and she won't take that kind of crap anyway, we know all her men are her bitches and they better behave.

I can't stand the feel of L&O, or CSI or procedurals in general, I feel trapped, I can't stand srs business shows. I used to relish on the angst and darkness (or I wouldn't be an X-Files fan), but somewhere down the rode I realized now I can't sit through serious dramas, I need a measure of humor to break the tension.

Yeah, all of the are screwed up in some way, they have all these darkness and tragedy in the pasts, and they present a facade to the world and to each other, the show is based around Jane's personal tragedy and yet he's all smiles 90% of the time, and the show traps us with its fluff. I'm convinced it is a trap, they distract us with the pretty people.

I thought child abuse, not necessarily sexual, it could be that he was physically and psychologically abused, by a man, and that's why he became uncomfortable by Jane's touch. A lot of people inferred it must have been sexual abuse, but a person who has been battered develops a certain phobia to being touched too, specially by people of the same gender of the abuser.

[identity profile] borg-princess.livejournal.com 2009-06-18 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Aha, Ladies in Red, thank you!
And omg, I was hoping that guy would try to yank the prisoner away by force because he really was in dire need of a Lisbon!take-down. But I guess they can't do it too often or it'll lose its specialness...actually, NO, that's rubbish, I LIVE to see her manhandle people, damn it, there's zero possibility of overkill!

Patresa. Terick. Meh.
Lisbane. Now that makes me giggle a little, like 'Jane= Lisbon's bane'. Heh. But yeah, slim pickings in this fandom.

I don't ship them, but I like the sound of 'Calria' [Cal + Ria] from Lie to Me. It's pretty. My ship's going by Callian [Cal + Gillian] which is also pretty decent.

And it's possible for the guy to not like Jane on the bases of Jane being a jackass, it doesn't have to be because they'll be fighting it over for Lisbon, and she won't take that kind of crap anyway, we know all her men are her bitches and they better behave.

THIS.
One of the best things about the show is how Lisbon is so clearly the boss, people do as she says or run for cover and beg for mercy and hope she's gotten over it when she catches up with them. I really don't want the new dude to diminish that aspect of her.

I know what you mean about feeling trapped in procedurals. They make me feel so claustrophic when it's all about how dark and tragic and dire the real world is, fandom's my happy place, I don't wanna be mired in doom-and-gloom. It's funny how my tastes have changed- I went from being a CSI/L&O/Cold Case gal to Mentalist/Chuck/Criminal Minds. The latter may be all about serial killers, but it's so much lighter and more hopeful in comparison.

Poor Rigsby. I thought he was the one person who didn't have demons and then there's this abuse implication. Hey, what about Cho, do we know much about his past?

[identity profile] luxuria-oceanus.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
YOU WERE SPEAKING TO MY WIFEY!!!

:-P

Next time you do, can you remind her I wuuuuuuuuuuv her to bits? I think she knows, but a reminder hurts no one.

And excuse me while I continue to giggle at your wallpaper XP It's like you're the queen of the shippers, rooting for your ships till you DIE.

And dude.

BOOBS.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOBS.

I want to squeeze.

You know, just to make sure they're there.

Looks can be deceiving, y'know.

Also, I hope the TPTB don't suck too much, 'cause seriously, it SUCKS for them to establish a pairing (well, sorta) so soon in a fandom then, WHAM! GOODBYE! YOU SUCK!

*hugs*

EDIT: P.S. Also, O.O You and I are alike only in the cynical aspect of writing. I no like to use violence in my stories... PEACE AND LOVE, IT MAKES FOR HAPPY TIMES AND BABIES!

FEEL THE SQUEE!
I've been terrified of this instant-messaging phenomenon for so long and then one convo later, I'm a total convert, lol. I fail at social interaction. The people I know in RL? Their lives don't revolve around fandom, so it makes communicating with them very difficult. *sighs* IM'ing makes me nervous because you can't spent half an hour polishing a reply, lol, but it was surprisingly comfortable! *nodnod*

*snorts* I was going to be offended at you laughing at my pretty ships, but that description is priceless and quite flattering, really. *preens* Queen of the Shippers, I'll add that to my list of titles. *rummages around* Where did I put my titles? *sighs* Well, maybe I'll start anew. :P

*flailyflails* BOOBS INDEED. [I need an icon for this, lol]
Have I mentioned how much I love you?!
It's so great having someone who understands and better than that, flails with me!

I want to squeeze.
You know, just to make sure they're there.

That urge hit me as well.
And I was sitting there, gazing at this image wondering if gravity might be ever so obliging as to exert the teensiest force on that neckline- wouldn't need much!- even though I KNOW it's a still image, not a gif and thus I will be getting no such gratification. BUT STILL. My imagination will suffice. :P

*hugs* On the bright side, she's not being killed off! *cheers* On the sucky side, an ex of hers returns. *headdesk x infinity* I really really hate it when writers do that. I've noticed that they seem to be unable to establish backstory for women without it involving an ex. Guys get an arch-nemesis, daddy issues, case-related trauma and all that...women, meh, let's resort to the cliched OLD FLAME. *sporks writers*

Lol, I noticed that- you were my opposite in pretty much everything! Of course we'd both be cynics. Yeah, I'm a huge whumper, but only to aid the shippiness! I like making the guys woobie over their twu wuvs getting hurt and it's the comforting afterwards that makes it all worthwhile. *nodnod* Rampant violence with none of the following emotional support and cuddling is pointless. :D

LOL Well, my life doesn't revolve around fandom *coughMUCHcough*, but I can still fangirl like it's nobody's business! It's called an 'off-and-on' switch, people should try them more often :-)

LOL! WUUUUUUUUUUUUUV *tackle of boobie-love!*

Dude. That is the main reason why I won't ever stop being bi-anything. I LOVE BOOBS! I'm like a teenage boy going through puberty when it comes to boobs. Booooobs! I even love my own boobs, but, since they freak me out a lot, it's not the same kind of love. I once knew a girl whose nipples were the size of flying saucers (true fact, holy shit), and another girl whose boobs were absolutely perfect (not too big, not too small---just right) *sigh* Too bad she was a manipulative lying conniving little shit.

*head desk* Wow, so you were given good news, with possibly irritating and "Oh, gosh, what are you doing to me!?" news. Uh-hu. Writers suck.

Well, my problem is that if there's an alternative to violence, I'm taking it *sigh* I should've been born a hippie.... or, at least, in that time period (never having to shave? Bad huge volume hair is in? SIGN ME UP!)

My problem is I haz the on-switch but I haven't found the off-switch yet, lol. So I'm in fangirl mode 24/7 WITHOUT FAIL. 'tis exhausting but rewarding. :D

*g* I think I have more control than teenage boys, but *nodnod* boobs are pretty and endlessly fascinating! This was an opinion I formed at about ten years old, and it's held true since. I wonder if it's envy because mine are nothing special. *sighs* My cousin Sarah, I believe, got the entire quota of boobage for our generation- she's the definition of voluptuous, while the twins and I are flat as pancakes. :[

'tis funny, I read an interview with this actress who said it was better for women to do nude roles because they're gorgeous to look at, but guys should refrain- 'who wants to see their willies, they're ugly, no, give me boobies any day'. LMAO.

Mwohhh, shame about the second girl. Teh boobs are wasted on her. *frowns* Why is there no boob!karma in this world?

Oh, no, don't make me flashback to that godawful Sandi Thoms song (http://www.lyricstop.com/i/iwishiwasapunkrockerwithflowersinmyhair-sandithom.html)...gah!

LOL! Oh, I couldn't be a fangirl 24/7. I have no one to fangirl with! And, the thing is, I'm very much like a chameleon. I blend with my environment, so quite literally, if (and, due to the fact THAT) my real life friends are so non-fandom, I don't fangirl much around them (until they POKE at my fandom, then it is ON).

Oh, you poor thing! Well, my uncle has always said that all you need is a handful *nod nod*

LOL Actually, that is SO true! I mean, looking at men from the waist up is great (and a few butts are absolutely gorgeous looking), but actual willies? Mmm, no. Really, no. Actually, it looks both awkward and funny. And don't get me started on the bells *shakes head* Women are prettier naked, both boobage and down south, honestly, so that actress has a very valid point.

I don't know, but there should be. Do you know of a cartoon series named Ranma 1/2? It's basically anime, where this character turns into a girl every time he's doused with, I think, COLD water, and then when doused with hot, he goes back to being a guy. Oh, the hilarity, but the thing is, I used to joke (and still do) that that would be the perfect mate for me. The best of both worlds, PLUS, as a female, that DAMN cartoon had THE most gorgeous breasts. I used to call the second girl's breasts 'Ranma's Breast', because the shape was utterly perfect. Gah. What a waste.

O.O DUDE! That song sounds AWESOME LOL
