Tina Fey...I love the concept of her. But I'm not a big fan of 30 Rock. Her character is so awesome, but the eps I watched seem to focus on her humiliation one way or another, over and over...people disrespecting her, screwing up her life and it just- I couldn't watch it anymore because I was so angry on her behalf, like WHY DO YOU NOT APPRECIATE HER? STFU LOSERS!
This is the reason I do not watch comedies. They thrive on ritual humiliation, and I need identify with a character to be hooked on a show because I live vicariously through their lives, and because I like Liz so much, it's painful watching her go through all that stuff, you know? I take it so personally, it's not healthy. So I gave her up. *sniffles* Sad but it was vital to my mental health. I'm thinking about seeing Baby Mama, though, I like what I've seen of Tina's character in that movie. Female friendship is always a welcome sight. :D
And your list of favorite ships made me abnormally happy. Jarod/Miss Parker was like my first OTP, only it was before I knew what OTPs were
Yay! It feels good to share ships with people! Doubles the joy. ;) My first OTP...I think was Sinbad and Maeve in this old series of Sinbad the Sailor. I tried looking it up for the nostalgia but can't seem to locate it, sadly. *pouts*
