I think maybe we can retcon that she remembered, because when he asked, 'Can't you think of anything else' re: gems, there was this hesitancy about her as she responded, 'Not at the moment'.
*nods* That could totally work, and indeed even right afterwards, there was almost this half second of 'what the heck kind of crazy daydream was that?' Seriously though, these things get to me, because that episode was frakking awesome. Character development + general awesomeness and you mean to tell me nobody remembers it? NO PLZ.
