The universe loves me.

I’ve been dying to see Family of Cops III for ever now. [Okay, about a year, but it feels like a lifetime]. I don’t care about the old dude or Nicole DeBore, who royally sucked in DS9. What I do care about is that Torri appears in this movie and as I am her devout worshipper, it makes sense that I would be frantic to get my hands on every single piece of work she’s been in, right? Duh.

 

Except FOCIII is unavailable through my normal channels [ie, amazon], although I was informed that E-bay was a possible source. Of course, cozying up to someone and getting them to fetch it for me would have taken time, and effort, with no guarantee of success.

 

And then I flick through the tv guide, which is my bible, keeping me up to date with what’s on when, what tidbits of information they’ve released on various episodes to tantalize the mind [for instance, Dani Reese puts herself in danger investigating a rape in Life next week- yay, danger!] and I scan through midday movies just to see if anyone I know might be starring in one. Then I see it. Family of Cops III, Monday, Channel 7, midday. OMFGTHEHAPPINESS! I finally get to see this damn movie, I get a new Torri fix, I could just break down and weep with joy!

 

Okay, I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high. Just in case 7 screws me over and puts on, like, sports or something crap instead. If I turn on the tv and find Brady Bunch on, I will hurt someone.

 

But for now, I’m just drugged with anticipation. Instead of buying this movie without knowing much about it, I get to see it on tv and I can record it and have it forever! I know Torri isn’t the main character, but god, anything with her in it is worthwhile in these dark times of exam period. And I think it’s a sign that the universe doesn’t want me to give up. What are the chances that the day before my exams, they air the third part of a trilogy of cop movies, the installment that specifically includes my favorite actress ever? They haven’t aired the other two movies, they leapt straight to the third one. This means something! Ah, I’m so unbelievably happy right now.
