You'll also find that, by episode 4, he's ditched the glasses because the producers for sick of people comparing him to Daniel.
Seriously? Daniel Jackson Daniel? If so, I feel so smug, I totally called that comparison, ha! It's something I do when I first watch a show, I can't help but compare it with every other one in my experience. It's not that I think it's a bad thing for them to be alike, I have very particular preferences and I'm happy when something I like from one show is replicated in another!
[People that go, 'oh, time travel or mind-wiping or groundhog day, we've seen this before, how lame' irritate me so much, it's not the originality I'm after but the way the writers toy with it- like I'd seen the idea of replacing a character's memories to make them think they murdered someone before in Voyager but I really enjoyed the Cam version in SG-1 because ot the different approach]
Wow, Ashley is several notches up from Buffy already in my book, then. I love irreverence, but I really hate it when characters who face life-and-death situations don't act like it matters. Humor is important to stay relatively sane, I get that, but it gets to the snotty overly flippant point sometimes and I want to thwack them, ugh. [JOHN CONNOR, I'm looking at YOU]
I wiki'd Ashley and I kinda love her so much that the season finale is making me flip out just a little. Gone to the dark side, wtf? *sniffles*
Hee, you don't have to justify it, I'm already thoroughly hooked on it! All your fault! Dude, I can already QUOTE from this show without having seen an entire episode! I was reading a book yesterday where the character said 'I'm not common at all' or something and I giggled, 'HA, HELEN MAGNUS'. Hee.
