200,000 words into the fic and then I find out my ship doesn't frakking stay together.

I don't care if it's childish, but if I wanted angst and misery and despair, I'd've stuck with the books, kthxbai. >:[

Also, the father's on leave this week. Imagine my joy.
Particularly since we had a battle of wills over the weekend over my fingernails, of all the most frakking petty things ever. I managed to reduce our face time to a mere hour over the two days and yet we still clashed. Takes real talent, no? I just cannot believe I'm 21 years old and he wants to ORDER me to cut my nails or else- the unspoken threat being that I can get out of his house if I don't like it. Lovely. I enjoy living with a control freak ever so much.

LMAO. I kinda want to read a fic about someone teasing Hermione Granger with the definition of her last name. *smirks* The girl worships books and the idea that her last name means to MUTILATE them, well...JKR is one twisted woman [but we knew that already]. Luckily for Hermione, nobody's smart enough to realize it or even think to do research on the matter, so it's unlikely to ever be used against her. *gigglesnorts* Hee. Poor girl.

01.) Who is your favorite character from #2?

02.) Who is your least favorite character from #4?
But- but I love my whole team. Weeell, I suppose if I had to choose, I’d nominate Rossi. He’s such a teddy bear and I’ve developed a certain fondness for him, but…he comes across a little condescending and arrogant at times.
Although, hang on, the writers’ love affair with Reid gets real old, real fast. It’s stifling and claustrophobic and it really frustrates me how he’s the center of any major drama or angst in any given ep. I wish they’d spread a little love around to the other characters. So I’ll go with Reid, because he gets too much spotlight and I don’t like characters being shoved down my throat, not because I don’t like him. He’s a decent sort and so adorkable but yeah…
03.) What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
Ohhh. Dear god, that’d be so hilarious and awesome.
Voldemort as an Abnormal, the Sanctuary team trying to hunt him and lock him up or put him down…[so it messes with the whole ‘Harry is the Chosen One’ prophecy, I always thought it was a load of garbage]
I love the idea of Hermione and Snape checking out the Sanctuary; she’d be so fascinated and totally idolize Magnus, and Ashley would scandalize Snape, heh. I really want to see him confronted by a brash, bold American teen now, BWAHAHA. She'd have absolutely no fear of him and he'd be so put out that the evil Potions Master persona doesn't intimidate her, heh.
04.) Who is your favorite ship from #1?

"I can't think of another character that would better suit Severus Snape than Hermione Granger. Like him, she IS an intellectual, an unconventional person, a book worm and a geek. She's a deep thinker, and she's just as kind as Lily ever was if not more so. She would appreciate his passion for books and his love of experiments. Their relationship would be a meeting of the minds before it ever became anything romantic and phsysical, which would provide a sturdy foundation for romace to grow. Umm…probably Jane and Emily. So he can analyze her and work out her feelings for a certain dark-haired BAU team leader. *coughHOTCHcough*
Ooh, and then she can tease him about his feelings for his own dark-haired team leader.
This would work much better if Lisbon were around so that Jane could double-team fluster her with Emily, because let's face it, Jane doesn't get embarrassed. It's much more fun making Lisbon blush. *smirks*
06.) If you could meet one person from #1 and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?
Hermione. I think she definitely needs a girl friend, y’know? Hanging out with two boys all the time isn’t healthy. The only other girls her age are dumb twits and Ginny’s way younger and immature by comparison, so I think the two of us could have some awesome girl bonding time. *nodnod*
07.) If you could change one thing about #6's plotline, what would you change?

08.) Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5 and why you like the relationship between them.
Magnus and Will. They have this flirty vibe happening but it’s mainly about the trust and affection between them. I love the way she acts as his mentor and he’s so eager to learn and there’s genuine respect and caring and these moments of funny banter going on. It’s nice to see a male willing to learn from a female.
Don’t get me wrong, my heart lies with the opposite dynamic ‘coz it informs a lot of my ships [at least in books, I’m always all about the male mentor/female student thing, despite or even because of creepy age differences- I blame Tamora Pierce], but it’s refreshing that the show depicts a woman as being the mature, experienced, wiser character and there’s no macho attempts to one-up her, no insecurity or feelings of emasculation, it’s so cool. Yay Will!
09.) If the lead title characters (first names in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
HEE. I would willingly sacrifice Harry Potter any day.
Because for me, it’s all about one Severus Snape. [I love him so much that it was bizarre to watch the first movie the other day and find that it didn’t revolve around him- like, wtf? *fangirl brain does not compute*]
Also, Patrick Jane is too pretty to die. *nodnod*
10.) If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
Usually this question seems rather useless to me but ‘tis relevant here, ‘coz, OMG, the credits order for Criminal Minds actually pisses me off a lot! Thomas Gibson was second in the credits after Mandy Patinkin, but now with Rossi added to the team, all of a sudden Hotch is last! WTF? He’s the team leader, yo, why is he at the bottom of the pecking order?
11.) If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline of #6, what would the character be like, and what would their role be?
Um. Can I just add Nimueh back? ‘coz I love her so much and the show is gonna be the lesser for her absence. *sniffles*
But if it’s gotta be a new character, I want a woman that’s on Morgana’s side. Sure, there’s Gwen, but between stealing Arthur away from Morgana and ‘taking the first steps down the path towards becoming the Queen Guinevere of legend’, there ain’t much time for being a devoted pal.
I wouldn’t mind a fellow magic-user who understands and can sympathize with Morgana, but please, no evil be here, ‘k? I want someone who can be her confidante and supporter, not undermine her or anything. She’s got a maidservant/friend intent upon breaking down the divide between the classes, a potential love interest that’s destined to wed aforementioned friend and become the greatest king of all time, and a powerful wizard masquerading as a manservant who won’t talk to her about her own form of magic or let her know she’s not alone. This circle isn’t the most welcoming and cherishing, eh?
12.) What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?
Wow, you don’t pull your punches, do you? I love so many eps…gah!
Prophecy is such a fantastic episode- Marguerite and Roxton end up captured by bandits and they’re happy to initiate her into their number…provided she kills Roxton.
And he urges her to save herself, to shoot him if it means she’ll live and this woman who’s all about self-preservation at all costs, betraying other people before being betrayed herself, caring about nothing and no one except herself…she refuses.
She won’t kill him, even to save her own life.
It’s just an amazing moment, and he’s angry and frustrated and scared for her but she’s adamant about it and he kisses her on the forehead and AWWW. The romance, my heart can’t take it!
This is just one of many awesome eps, though, but you forced me to single one out, so.
13.) If you could kill off one of the characters in #6, who would it be and how would you do it?
I would kill off…hmm. Toughie, there. I rather like the main characters, even if the writers are frakking up their relationships.
Possibly Gaius, because he knows about Morgana and won’t help her deal with the burden of the sight and won’t let Merlin talk to her either. It really sucks that he seems to think Merlin is the only one who needs support and encouragement but Morgana can struggle through on her own.
Also, I haven’t forgiven him for surviving and Merlin killing Nimueh in his stead. UNFAIR, GRR.
14.) If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
The Mentalist or Sanctuary…*whimpers* Probably- god, this is hard, I’ll go with Mentalist. ‘coz I’m going to see Amanda in October [OMGYAYZ!] so I’d rather go and see Robin and Simon, if I had the opportunity. :D
15.) If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person would it be?
Ahaha, interesting question. ‘k, my love at the moment is undeniably, unquestionably Severus Snape. But I don’t think I could be in a relationship with him unless I was a completely different person. I’m too sensitive and probably piss him off too much.
So, my pool is John Roxton, Patrick Jane, Aaron Hotchner, Will, Merlin, Arthur and Uther.
The problem with most of these guys is that as myself, I wouldn’t have a chance in hell of ensnaring their affections, let alone maintaining a stable, happy relationship. Why can’t the question be ‘if you could BE any character from any of these shows and date another character….?’ Hmph.
I’m so tempted by Uther, sooo tempted like you have no idea, but I’ll go with Jane. At least he’s in my time frame, lol. No need to adjust to a different period and social customs and all that. Omg, the lack of tv and other modern comforts in Camelot would drive me nuts! Plus, who wouldn't want a guy that can read you that well? Just think, there'd never be any arguments over miscommunication, unlike many dense idiots, he'd know what was pissing you off before you had to voice it. Major advantage there!
