I wish it was more like X-files- it wasn't Mulder 100%, Scully 0%. She got to find a rational scientific explanation and he had his pet paranormal phenomenon theory an they co-existed happily. But for this show, it's Jane all the time and it's disrespecting the other characters, damn it.
Sometimes I wonder how the hell Lisbon become a senior agent when she never understands who's the killer without Jane's help. It's more than annoying, it's hard to believe.
ITA. I know Jane makes freakishly accurate leaps in logic to advance the plot, but there's gotta be a point where the writers stop and go, 'Hang on, are we making the rest of the team look like damn fools?'
I'd like for Lisbon and co be able to figure out who the killer is and then Jane pulls his wacky stunts to entrap them rather than have the others totally OBLIVIOUS the whole time.
Also, the way he was treating Van Pelt was pretty condescending and downright rude. She's just too sweet to put up a fuss at him putting her down like that. I hope he tones down his inner jackass because it's going to get old, real fast.
