By your command. :P I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I'm totally getting junk food to enjoy with it tomorrow. I comfort eat like nobody's business- I'm hitting KFC. *nodnod*
I just- I can't believe we actually get subtext! For so long, it's been not even subtext, like, nonexistent-text, they gave us NOTHING to interpret and now I'm so thrilled that seems to be changing. Hopefully it's not just the first two eps but a continuing trend. *fingers crossed*
I was watching that ep with the escort UNSUB the other day, and it cracked me up when Hotch was like, 'Get ready to vamp'- did he seriously say that? I couldn't believe my ears. I wish we'd gotten a chance to hear Emily handle a client, lol.
No probs with the tangent. I kinda get what you mean.
I know people use the 'god doesn't give us more than we can handle' and 'things happen for a reason' to try and make sense of catastrophes, but I've never understood that. It seems like a desperate attempt at rationalization more than anything, but I won't begrudge people their coping mechanisms.
I just think we don't need disaster to fully enjoy the little things in life- if I get paralyzed tomorrow and can't ever walk again in my life, that won't make me enjoy small pleasures more or anything. I get these moments of exquisite joy when everything seems perfect [it's usually to do with LJ and fandom, lol] and I can't imagine that being heightened by dint of suffering some great tragedy, y'know?
That was my lengthy way of supporting the 'stop and smell the roses' philosophy in life, lol. ^_^
