*squees at your icon* GAHHH! Ep 11, y/y? I just d/l it, I haven't had time to watch it yet, but if the reaction of fandom is any indication...*prepares to die from the awesome* I came across a few GIFs of Kahlan v Kahlan. I think it's started a new ship, lol. *headdesks at fandom*
The thing with Richard is that he's the hero and he's CONSTANTLY requiring a rescue! I really did like him in the second season and then it's gone back to the ol' 'Richard's in trouble again' thing. Very annoying. But I do like his increased maturity as compared to the first season. [Which, OMG, I now have on dvd, thanks to relatives visiting from the US!]
In order for Richard to be the seeker again, Leo had to go and it was better for him to go protecting Kahlan than to die for something stupid. I'm glad he went the way he did, because then it didn't diminish any of the love I had for him.
I didn't think I'd like Leo so much and it was so surprising to realize I found him rather endearing in his inept attempts to woo Cara! Lol, just bare that muscled chest, don't try your dorky lines on her, dude! It was a shame he had to die, but as he got named Seeker, he was doomed from the start...why to make him likable, PTB, why?!
I don't mind him dying for Kahlan, it was the WAY he died for her! I'm gonna chalk it down to his superior Seeker reflexes kicking in and letting him know when and where to fling his body, because...it just doesn't work, really. *facepalm*
Then I can just let it go with grace, the way Kahlan did. (My GOD, she handles things amazingly.)
She is my role model! Well, okay, I love Cara and her offer to teach Kahlan to block off unhelpful emotions and the whole 'I'm fine'/'why are you crying over a SWORD?' LMAO!
