Richard can do no wrong. And even when he's wrong, he's still not wrong.

ITA. *eyeroll* He's like Harry Potter, even when he screws up big-time, HE'S STILL RIGHT because he's the CHOSEN ONE.

He doesn't make me as capslocky as he did in the first season [I wanted to throttle that ungrateful jerk- Kahlan kept trying to help him and he kept disregarding her advice and running headlong into danger and making her work overtime to save his ass and he was still dismissive and acting like a complete asshat, UGH] but there are still moments of epic fail on his part. Grr.

The issue I have with a lot of so-called heroes is their overwhelming obsession with morality. Things they need to face up to:

It's a war, you're gonna get your hands dirty, so get over it.

It may not be noble to knife the villain in the back, but it'll save lives.

People are going to die and it will be tragic and hard to cope with, but for the sake of everyone else, loved one and strangers, you gotta keep going and STOP WHINING, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Your life IS more important because you're the only one that can defeat the baddie, so stop acting humble and self-deprecating and risking your life for complete randoms when you have a bloody QUEST to embark on. *head!splodes*

I know we're supposed to cheer at Richard's big heart and kindness, but when he acts like every single injustice they encounter along the way MUST be rectified IMMEDIATELY...argh. Save the world first, deal with the minor issues later, FFS.

I wanna see HER lead. She's so much better at it...really! And Cara is her awesome-tastic snarky sidekick!!! haha.

WORD. These two carry the show for me, Richard is largely irrelevant.

I admit, the time I most admired him was when he trusted Cara and worked on getting Kahlan to at least accept her as an ally, because there was a bit of equality- Kahlan's refusing a tactical advantage based on feelings and Richard works out the situation and acts mature and it is good, but then we snap back to Kahlan being the smartest and most sensible one around and Richard being a whiny dumbass. I liked LEO more than him, which says something, considering how much I hated the idea of him!

In Perdition, in Richard's hallucination, when he refused to hear out Kahlan's husband and went and unlocked the door for baneling!Cara, even with everyone else shrieking at him not to do it...*clubs him over the head* GOD. He'd jeopardize all these lives for one person and think himself justified to make that call, it makes me SICK. And I can't even say he was out of his mind, because he was acting in his hallucination the way he would in RL, it's not like his thinking was being affected, just his perception of reality.

So agree with that last paragraph. I want the new outfit with the old hairdo! And the make-up amuses me, you can really see the eyeshadow standing out so much, it's unnecessary! For one thing, it's distracting wondering where she got her make-up kit from and for another, she's gorgeous as it is, just leave her face alone!
