Kahlan's not perfect. Which is one reason of fiftygazillion as to why she's so awesome. Kahlan knows Mord'Sith are evil, whether it's prejudice or common sense

Okay, just as long as you got that it might've been a bit of prejudice there. And I agree, she isn't perfect and I think that's great. [Even if some hardcore obsessive fans get uber-protective of their faves and refuse to hear any ill of them, even when it has some basis in fact and rant and rave when anyone dares to bring it up. *eyeroll*]

Kahlan is awesome in an infinite number of ways, so her short-sightedness here doesn't undermine that in the least! I liked that she was being human, I totally understood how she felt and why she'd react like that. And it made me giggle that she and Cara were pitted against each other, like in the next ep where Cara was all 'The Mother Confessor told me to be more compassionate'/'Are you saying this was my fault?'/'Yes'. HA. I nearly died laughing.

OMG! I found it and it's very illuminating. I think- um, have you heard of cognitive dissonance? I should've hated that ep, in fact, I hate many things about it but I made myself believe I liked it and now you've ripped the veil from my eyes. *sighs* I'mma comment on that later when I've had time to process this paradigm shift.

From what I've heard, it was really Bridget's pushing that enabled the change. She really wanted Kahlan to have a more badass, fighting friendly outfit.

Really? Okay, I'll get behind the new outfit, then. Lol, I am easily won over! The make-up, though, still not a fan, not even if I hear Bridget applies it herself because she feels Kahlan needs to be less natural and more like a woman of the modern age.
