Yeah, for such a die-hard romantic, I loathe most rom-coms with a passion. [The only one I've loved is The Proposal. I will buy it on dvd someday!]
Most of the humor is from humiliating the chick, making the guy a real jerk or loser, they fall into bed when there is so little chemistry that I fail to understand why they're into each other, blah blah blah.
At least with When Harry Met Sally, they were friends for a long time before anything happened. One of my favorite scenes is just when they're in bed in separate locations, chatting on the phone while they watch the same movie on tv. I LOVE that. I WANT that kind of relationship in my life, damn it! *yearns*
PS. Did you know Larry Miller also plays the father in the series? He's the only actor that reprised his role on tv.
