I never start up conversations with people I don't know
Okay, guilty, but it's just things like 'good morning' or 'damn, the bus is running late', those kinda pleasantries when you're stuck with a few people and avoiding each other's eyes and the silence is uncomfortable.
Oh, and conventions are my major exception. These are my people! I walk up to complete strangers and start conversations on our fandoms, it's awesome. I spent three hours in line with some dude from Adelaide talking about Sarah Connor Chronicles, Stargate and a bunch of other shows. *sighs* Of course he'd be from out of state!
I hate it when you're looking up a TV show and someone leans over your shoulder and asks who it is. None of your damn business, looky lou!
Worse when he's staring at one's chest! I mean, okay, I'm sure he was just checking out my awesome CM t-shirt, but it felt awkward, y'know? Back off, already, lamebrain! And then to have the nerve...'What's it about?' / 'Serial killers and FBI agents who hunt them down.' / 'Ugh, why would you watch something like that?' WTF? HDU, DOUCHEBAG! *stabs*
Bleeeuuuuuurgggh. You poor thing. *snuggles*
IKR? *hides behind you gratefully* Although I have to admit, it's not that bad these days, I think it must have been that jacket. Thank god it's gone!
*raises hand sheepishly*
I'd be mortified if anyone I worked with knew my secret internet life.
Really? But it wouldn't cause trouble for you, would it? I mean, bashing Russell and flailing over CM isn't going to make you risk losing your job or anything, right? But I was chatting with a fellow SSHG shipper who's in law and wanting to do big things someday [and she's so ambitious and motivated and smart, I have no doubt she will achieve all she wants] and I suppose...certain fandom interests might be a little embarrassing. Teacher/student ships, hmm, especially for a lawyer. Although it's hilarious, she told me about this Supreme Court judge who writes romance novels! The Lawyer and the Libertine, etc. :D
But seriously, she said that about Bindi? Bindi may be incredibly annoying, but she's still a kid. Sheesh.
Yeah, it was tasteless to the max, but people are jumping down her throat about advocating child abuse and statutory rape and it's like...FFS, she made a bad joke, she's not seriously suggesting someone go have sex with the kid!
He did that? For reals? Seriously?
That guy has a screw loose.
FOR REALZ. I'm not even kidding. It's terrifying to me how many people supported him acting so recklessly and think he's a hero! I think the word 'hero' is overused. When it applies to both a dangerous driver who attacks a group of kids and smashes up their car as well as a kid who sails her boat across the world [or nearly so, or whatever the technicality is], we need to come up with a new word.
Though I loved the way Jessica gently smacked down K-Rudd, 'I would like to disagree with the Prime Minister', LMAO!
