there are ways a healthy diet can still be decent but it takes a lot of work. if you get plenty of exercise, you can hold off the inevitable longer *hug*

you actually tend to gain more weight if you eat very little most of the time and only binge occasionally. you might want to try eating more regularly during the week and see what that does

I think Ron could possibly have grown into a really great guy but, as written by JKR, he was a total prat. fanfic in that verse definitely exists (or SHOULD ideally) to correct JKR's shit-mess of a canon
