I just watched Life 2 x 06. Just...OMG. So wrong.

I could see where that final scene with Reese and Tidwell was going and I was screaming at them in my head, DON'T DO IT, PLEASE, OH, PLEASE, WRITERS, FOR THE LOVE OF PAGET BREWSTER, DON'T DO THIS TO ME.

Except they did. *headdesks*  I kinda saw this coming ever since ep 3 when he was super nice and sympathetic and supportive, but...GROSS SICK EWW, much? It doesn't make any sense to me that these two characters would hook up. I mean, Reese was always about being professional and on-task and reigning Charlie in because she was the sensible responsible one, perhaps due to the whole alcoholic self-destructive streak she was on before. And then she kisses that moron in the middle of the office where everyone can see them? What was she thinking? If he'd kissed her and that was it, FINE, it'd be in character for him to sleaze all over her, but for her to KISS HIM BACK? She doesn't like this guy, she doesn't even really respect him because he's been disgusting and crude and a juvenile frat boy since the moment they met. He's always paying out Charlie and making stupid insensitive remarks about people from prison, requiring them to give him dirty looks of disdain to put him in his place. And she kisses this guy?!

This ep was so so cool until that point. I mean, other than the whole 'shooting up Charlie's car' thing because that hurt. Didn't think it was necessary. I'm such a materialistic person that even though it isn't real and it isn't mine and I don't even want a car anyway, it still pained me to see it destroyed. I didn't understand what the point was in them doing that. I know the guy had a gun to the woman's head but emptying your gun into your only means of transport to hunt the guy down? Putting yourself in jeopardy should it go bad and there's a shootout in which you're at a distinct disadvantage due to lack of ammo? Wtf? 

Okay, and the pencil in Ted's hand was a bit much. Yuck. He was funny as usual, though. :D Him and Olivia...what IS it with this show and INFIDELITY? I'm so frakking sick of it, goddamn it all. But of all the couples, I'm most okay with Ted/Olivia because they're both sweet people and I feel like cooing over them when I see them together. But it was a little dumb to pull the pencil out. Such a sensitive delicate operation should only be undertaken by a TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. He could've started bleeding out there and then, omg!

But the rest of the ep was pretty cool. I was so loving the Crews/Reese dynamic, up on the roof with her ruining his zen moment. I love the lyrics that she played when she switched his music- 'you're a hole in my head', LOL.

Dani: I don’t think I like what you’re saying.
Charlie: I don’t think I like what I’m saying either.
Dani: You’re saying we have to stop Arthur Tims from getting killed ?
Charlie: Yeah, I guess we do.
Dani: Yeah, I guess we do.

I loved their 'repeating each other's words' exchanges.

Charlie: Looks that way.
Dani: Yeah but you think that’s what happened ?
Charlie: No. I just said it looks that way.
Dani: Because you really have to be aiming if you want the gas tank to explode like that.
Charlie: You really would.
Dani: And you really can’t tell if that’s Arthur Tims or not.
Charlie: You really can’t.
Dani: You know he could have burned down half the cash, and still walked away with a fortune.
Charlie: He really could have.

And my favorite exchange of the ep:

Dani: What are you thinking ?
Charlie: I’m thinking that when I woke up this morning, I wasn’t thinking that I’d have to kill somebody.
Dani: Now you think you have to ?
Charlie: No. Now I think I want to.

*snickers* :D

The bitter ex-wife was pretty funny too.

Tims’ ex-wife: Have you killed Arthur yet ?
Dani: No not yet.
Tims’ ex-wife: Oh.. I saw the called id and I got all excited! (…) Just, do me a favor : Call me back when Arthur’s dead.

At first I thought the lady doth protest too much and her hatred of him was too full-on and excessive to be real but it was great that it turned out she wasn't involved after all and her snarky exclamations of eternal hatred and vengeance were heartfelt and genuine. She was probably the funniest person in this ep, I think. The actress pulled off the blithe airy venom so well!

DON'T KILL ME but I kind of like Tidwell :P Well, except for the slicked back hair *shudders* but after the "I want to kill someone" he was awesome.

Plus, I was totally agreeing with him about letting the kid-who-was-killed father kill Tims. I honestly do not see the problem.

AND I TOTALLY LOVED THAT EX-WIFE LMAO! She was prepared to do anything to help them kill him. Brilliant :D

I liked the scene where they're driving in Crews' car because all the other cars are inuse *wink wink* She totally just wanted to drive it. And hell who wouldn't! It's shiny :D

Tidwell was slowly making his way onto my 'don't obsessively love but kinda actually like' list until this ep. I really liked the way he handled the psycho cop waving his gun around in the other ep- you know, it's those moments when he drops the jackass routine and lets the human being inside come out to play that I find myself growing fonder of him. And in this ep when he told Reese and Crews to back off, he'd take the risk of cutting the wire because he's the boss and that's his job...I was all sentimental and soppy over him, lol.

OMG I KNOW, RIGHT?! We are SUCH immoral people but seriously, he's guilty, everyone knows he did it, I do not have a problem with the father putting him down. Tidwell snarking a 'We're not the Future Crimes Unit' made me laugh! What's sad is that Reese and Crews trying to do the right thing led to that guy getting killed and I had a soft spot for him- he helped out Charlie when he was looking for Rachel. *sniffles* Who btw, was totally not worth the effort, but anyway... :P

♥ ♥ ♥ Hell hath no fury, lol. She is so cool I want her to be a recurring character, damn it. If things fall through with Olivia, maybe Ted and her can hook up, heh. She has a history of going for ex-cons, after all. This could be the Amber/Wilson of Life! [Aaannnd I'm tripping. Where is this coming from?!]

I BLAME REESE FOR CHARLIE LOSING HIS CAR. >:[ If she hadn't wanted to drive it so bad...poor car never had a chance. RIP. >_<

I thought it was funny how they were fighting over the music- poor Charlie, all woeful that she was driving the car, trying to exert some authority and she was having any of it at all. :D

Ok, when Reese ducked into the doorway as well I groaned and thought "OMFG this is so awkward" but then that kiss was kind of hot and all was forgotten. Except my clothes, because they stayed on.

I KNOW OMG! He was shouting and shouting and I just thought, shut up already, then BLAM! Blood and brains everywhere. >_< He did not go silently into the night, poor guy. I must say, Reese and Crews did a terrible job of shooting that car down. Aim for the tyres, much? Lol, this is me with my vast experience in how to disable cars, but...it makes sense, no?

Lol, I think it's the impending exams that have sent my body haywire, my hormones must be all screwed up. I'm bouncing between severe depression when I realize how badly I'm going to fail and fangirly glee when I log onto LJ for the peaceful oblivion and wilful shutting out of RL... if I could bottle up that chaos of emotion and adrenaline, it would be quite a trip. :P

I was actually impressed with their shooting because so many scenes these days simply has the people taking aim and then throwing their hands up as if the car is out of range when it's FIFTY FEET IN FRONT OF YOU *brainsplodes*

I'm not that interested in cars, per se, but anything that's shiny and goes fast can hold my attention for a few minutes ;)

ETA: Oh and you should get your licence if your parents are going to buy you a car. That is a really cool thing. And beside, think of your parents - then they wont have to run you around and you can have much more freedom ;)

Lol, well, you'd be the one to know when something is out of range or not. Usually my frustration with these scenes is exactly the opposite- when the person is RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SHOOTER AND THEY INEXPLICABLY MISS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Heh, I don't know why but that reminded me of Paris Hilton when she was talking about booking a flight on the first commercial space flight freaking out, going, 'What if we get back and it's 10,000 years later? I'll be like, 'Damn, I have to start over again'...' LMAO! Like that's the FIRST THING YOU'D THINK when you find that everyone you ever loved is dead and the life you knew is over. But...it makes me wonder about her intelligence. Has she been reading those physics books on relativity and all that jazz? :D

Petrol is so expensive these days...it's almost cheaper to get the car than it is to fuel it and use it on a daily basis. That's what I hear anyway, lol. The main reason I'm thinking of getting my license is for the ID. I don't go clubbing or anything but it would making signing up for membership at video stores and stuff like that a lot easier.
