Now that Movie Maker is reluctantly co-operating, my dvd burner has decided to take a vacation. Which means:

* good news for [livejournal.com profile] odakota_rose - Bitch is back on track! Though it's gonna take a while, what with laptop access restricted to weekends...me sowwy... :[

* and bad news for my family. I d/l and burn a lot of eps for various people and this is pissing me off. The thing is, I can put in the dvd, add the episodes I want, even edit them if I wish- but when I hit the 'burn' button, and it prompts me to save the project- it won't let me save the damn thing. I've tried the shortcut, I've gone through the menu, I've done 'ctrl' + 's' but it won't save.

Anyone encounter this problem before? Any suggestions at all? I'd love to just buy a new laptop and ditch this piece of crap but that so isn't happening anytime soon. *sighs*

Haha, Movie Maker never worked for me - till yesterday!! Now I just hope that my burner doesn't decide to die either o__0
Did you already try another burning program? Maybe it's a software problem. Or update the driver for the burner...Sorry, I'm not good with such problems, hopefully someone else can help :)

WMM is the devil. But at least it's the devil I know- it fraks up in cycles. I'm almost confident that if I leave it alone for a while, and delete a heckload of crap from my laptop, it'll deign to work again.

The dvd burner thing? The devil I DON'T know and it's freaking me out so bad. *woes* I'm not a very tech-literate person, I don't know about burning programs and such, I just used the Sonic MyDVD thing that came installed on my laptop already. But I might hunt around and see if anyone else knows of something I can use instead.

*squishes* Thanks for the sympathetic ear! [or...eye, whatever. Idioms don't translate well on the computer, lol!]

word!!!! When Jack O'Neil left the show I didn't want to watch it anymore, but Vaala was the perfect replacement! I am even not sure whom do I love more- Jack or her.... she made me laugh hysterically.... so bad that she was only in one full season...

I wonder now whether to watch Atlantis or not....

OMG, I totally love Vala more than Jack. If I had to choose, I'd've given her a few of his seasons, lol, because she deserved more than just one.

SGA? Is a fun show, although I only like the first three seasons and then it pissed me off. It's not as hysterically funny as SG-1, it's a bit more subtle, I think. But still good fun. :D

I have always been a passionate Jack fan so for me to like Vala so much means a lot ^_^ she really deserved more than one season....

well, I will watch altanist after I finish with Supernatural... I know most people think of atlantis as lame but still- I cannot resist to watch something connected with the stargate ^_^

Oh, it's not lame until the fourth and fifth season, and that's only in my opinion, so you might enjoy the whole thing. *shrugs*

While I love the Stargate universe, I'm not sure I'm going to watch the new series, Stargate:Universe. It sounds really lame and I don't trust the writers not to screw it up. *eyeroll*

Stargate Universe? Well.... maybe the producers should be reminded that it is time for them to stop now.... too much Stargate... some things just should come to an end...

You know how they, milking the cash cow for all its worth. I despise them because I get the feeling they don't give a damn about the show, just the money they can get out of it. It's sci-fi-by-numbers, no originality, no passion...okay, I haven't seen it yet, but I don't trust TATB. *shrugs*

*squishes* Yay for viddage, though I hate that your dvd thingy's messing up. Generally when things aren't working the way they're supposed to, I hit them. Surprisingly, this usually has fairly good success, though I don't think it's such a great idea for sensitive dvd type equipment...

*sobs* Well, I suppose I'd rather WMM worked, if I absolutely HAD to choose, but, oh, the pain. *woes*

Generally when things aren't working the way they're supposed to, I hit them.

*snorts* After watching Absolute Power and Camelot, Netty and I concluded that this is Ned's special power. Kicking things into working better. It doesn't work for me, though. *pouts* And um- considering I dropped my laptop and it's never been the same since, I don't think I wanna try physically abusing it any further. :P Verbal abuse will do just fine...

*sadfaces* Have you tried calling tech support?

After watching Absolute Power and Camelot, Netty and I concluded that this is Ned's special power. Kicking things into working better.

Hmm. You know, I can see that. He seems to think that the solution to everything is kicking it. Maybe it's an American thing *snort* But dude, you DROPPED your laptop? Ay yi yi. Did you check to make sure none of the memory popped out and that the hard drive is still securely fastened inside? It just takes about five minutes and a screwdriver.
