After the disaster that was season 2 of Merlin, everyone went batshit. The introduction of Arthur/Gwen as the OTP really just fucked everything over. I miss Arthur/Morgana so much...

I was so in love with the first season and the multi-shipping that kept EVERYONE happy so I was totally blindsided by the second season OTP-cementing, because that was not how the show seemed to be playing out! I thought I could get at least ONE more season of enjoyment, but noooo.
And I hated how the Gwen/Arthur people were being snotty and saying 'what did you expect, it's CANON as per the legends, DUH' [even though the show strayed so far away from them as to make its origins meaningless], well, the writers led us to make certain assumptions and expectations, so don't get angry that we were disappointed when they failed to measure up! FFS, from EVERYONE having chemistry to locking down one couple, that's a major paradigm shift.
I'm really hoping that s3 will somehow redeem the show for what happened last season.
Not after they screwed Morgana over like that. I can't forgive them for failing to make her live up to her potential. I loved her because there was so much they could do with her and it fizzled out.
Also, I was majorly pissed at them killing off Nimueh. She was a sympathetic villain, and Merlin come off looking like an asshole for killing her when she was only fulfilling his wishes.
