Where the local video stores and shops have failed me, the good old library gives up the goods. I have no idea whether these movies are any good, but there has been a lot of flailing and romanticizing over them, and seriously? $2.20 each? For the Mary love? Not too much to ask!

Of course, my laptop is frakked up at the moment, so I don't know if I'll be able to get through them tonight, when the parents are around. Damn my reflexes. I managed to trip on the cord and drop my precious laptop at such an angle that the DVD drive kinda...just...broke off. Um. It was very traumatic at the time, but at least it wasn't worse. It's been a week and I'm having withdrawal pangs from missing my late night movie/tv marathons. And just when I get a new source of Mary...it's almost worse having the dvd and knowing I can't see it til later. >:[

True, there is the small matter of two essays due on Thursday, so maybe it's a good thing I can't indulge in a dvd session. Lol.
 
Anyway, Ezydvd failed me on these two movies, but when I searched for Mary, it came up with three possibilities: Mumford, Passion Fish and...You Can Thank Me Later. I know nothing of the first two...and *clear throat* interesting things about a certain scene in the latter. Funnily enough, it is twice as expensive as the first two. Hmm.

She's right, Dances With Wolves is SO good. That was the movie that initially made me aware of MM and Her Awesomeness.

This was the first movie that I saw where Mary was a main character and it definately showed me the extent of Mary's acting abilities. Fantastic movie.

I think she was 37 in that movie? Totally does not look her age! That was the first thing that struck me about her. Other than the copious amounts of blood on her, that is. O.o

DWW was worth seeing, but I preferred Sneakers... I like the more 'fun' popcorn movies, lol.

OMG!! *envies stash* If I could raid anyone's dvd collection in the entire world right now...

I watched Sneakers last night- stole mother's laptop, lol- and it is SO GOOOOD! I adore this movie so much. I'm considering 'losing' it from the library, lol. The one thing that kills me is that the stupid laptop doesn't have the screencap function on it and I was just stabbing the keys over and over in frustration. *headdesk* I NEED MINE REPAIRED SO I CAN CAP THE PRETTINESS.

Speaking of caps, I was over at your site the other day and I am dead from the awesomeness. And YAY, Colonial Day caps are up now! *huggles*

Oh, yes, I have no idea why, there is no rhyme or reason to it- but the cap function is inactive. The little camera icon's sitting there but it's not lit up. >:(
