I AM SAD. :[
You guys know how I crave crackalicious cracky goodness like a drug, right?
[TLW- case in point]

I heard about this supposed Snow White remake with Natalie Portman as a reincarnation of Snow White and seven NINJAS, instead of dwarves, sent to protect her from her Evil Stepmother's schemes.
How insanely awesome sounding is this?
Snow White and NINJAS, yo. Kung fu + fairytale = *insanely bouncy glee*

But whether or not the movie is real, rather than the figment of some lunatic's imagination, Natalie Portman apparently turned down the role. *woes* I love Natalie Portman, she adds class to her projects. [I don't care how badly Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium was savaged by critics, I'm buying it on dvd, shut up]

Question: What do Teresa Lisbon and Elizabeth Weir have in common?
[Apart from devastatingly handsome male colleagues- with *g* enviable high fashion hairstyles- who charm them into approving all sorts of insane plans?]

Two lady bosses and framed photos of their canine buddies.

The images with the blond chick are from two separate interviews- between which Lisbon added another photo of her dog to her desk. Aww, puppykins! [Btw. Is it weird that I notice this?]

THEY EVEN HAVE THE SAME TASTE IN PHOTO FRAMES. PLAIN AND SILVER. :D
I know, I know it doesn't mean anything but I love it anyway. Crossover fic, pretty please?!

'k, I went through a few different SGA eps and these caps were the best I could find of Sedge! I know there must be better ones, but... *sighs* Not that I found. My efforts were in vain. *pouts* HOWEVER, the following totally makes up for it...

Bonus pic of Torri:

I love that she dresses up her dog in sci-fi props, that is hilarious! :D

Meme! snurched from kat_rowe:

"Name your 15 absolute favorite couples [het/slash/canon/fanon] and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms."

'k, some of these I haven't dabbled in for ages but I've absolutely loved all of them at one stage or another, whether for a brief duration or with a never-ending, undying passion.

3. Prince Arthur Pendragon/Lady Morgana Le Fay [Merlin]
4. Admiral Bill Adama/President Laura Roslin [Battlestar Galactica]

*side note: word’s auto-correct suggests that Sophie’s last name ought to be spelt…’defraud’. Lmao*

Katy Perry- Hot 'n Cold

This makes me giggle so much. ^_^ If ever a couple gave off mixed signals [what with the kissing in other people's bodies and random 'accidental' groping and then marrying other guys], 'twould be these two.

*hugs you* Yesh, I approve, Natalie Portman = Awesome. In nearly everything she's been (that I've seen, actually, pretty much all I've seen of her) has been amazing. She's good!

ITA! :D So talented, though I'm ashamed to say I haven't seen all or even most of her work, but what I have is just brilliant.

Oh, oh, did you see the Magorium movie? Because I loved it, even if there wasn't enough romance in it for me [I'm all about romance, lol] and the magic and the humor and everything was just WHEEEE. *bounces* But maybe my Natalie!fangirl!blinkers were on and it really was crap and I didn't notice. Lol. That happens.

Also? Icon love! Ah, Jack the Ripper Walter! Haven't seen Fringe in ages but it's the one show I watch for the dude, and an old batty guy at that, rather than the chick/ship.

XD Well, she really won my heart in "Leon: The Professional", and she was just starting there! "Where the Heart Is" is a must-watch. "Anywhere But Here" is good. "Closer" too (though the drama is kind of loooong) and, even though her appearance in "Cold Mountain" isn't big, it's still very impacting. "V for Vendetta" obviously good. "The Other Boleyn Girl" is LOVE. And, of course, Star Wars---though I'm not a HUGE fan of the fandom, I do admit it was good, and she was good in it :-)

Those are about all the movies I've watched with her in it, so no, haven't seen the Magorium one :-(

XD I LOVE WALTER! I used to watch the show because of HIM and ONLY him. I kind of got annoyed at the fact that they were clearly trying to pair up the guy and the girl, then wham, made the girl's sister be attracted to the guy, which leads the way to both awkward and angsty situations, and for once, FOR ONCE, I'd like a show where the ANGST didn't STRADDLE the pairings from the get-go!

ACK!

Thanks for the recs- I have a certain narrow list of criteria for movies that I will watch, but for Natalie, I'll make an exception. I haven't seen any of the ones you mentioned other than V for Vendetta which made me cry. It's an easy feat, actually, so maybe it's not that impressive but whatever, I was wibbling like a baby.

I think it's telling that Magorium's one of the few of her movies I've seen- the promos promised me magic and enchantment and possible!blink-and-you'll-miss-it!ship and happy endings...I like those.

I was all set to watch Boleyn Girl til I realized she gets killed off rather spectacularly. *sighs* I wish theyd swapped Natalie and 'ScarJo's roles, I'm not too fond of the latter, I'm okay with her dying. >:D

WALTER IS He's the only thing keeping me interested in the show!
Although I haven't seen the bit where the sister's all awkward!UST'ing with Peter. Ugh. Does he like her back or is it unrequited?
I don't ship Olivia and Peter but I don't mind if the writers make them all hung up on each other, but it's just NOT COOL to insert random love interests like that. GRR. It's the lamest plot device ever- the 'okay, we can't let our leads admit their love for each other yet, let's screw it up by throwing in another interested party!' Especially when it's the sister. *seethes*

FOR ONCE, I'd like a show where the ANGST didn't STRADDLE the pairings from the get-go!

*bats eyelashes* Might I recommend TLW? :P I can assure you there is none of that ship-interfering rubbish with M/R. It's the best thing ever, you can see the writers put a lot of thought into the whole intricate relationship dance rather than coming up with lame arbitrary reasons to cool things off between the characters. They don't get together right away for reasons stemming from their personalities/past, it's such an organic process, working through their problems and dealing with their demons in order to become closer to one another.

/sales pitch. I can't help myself. *sheepish grin*

Oh, you are NOT alone! I cry during COMMERCIALS! The one with the Sarah McLachlan song and the animal shelters? Yup, makes me cry. And the one where the woman's hubby sneaks out of bed to get a diamond bracelet and puts it over her arm as she sleeps, and when she wakes up, he pretends to be asleep, and she realizes the gift he's put over her wrist and leans over to him and he just smiles, with his eyes closed *lip wibbles* gets me EVERY FREAKING TIME. So, if I'm like that on commercials, trust me, I am worse during movies.

Oh, you should STILL see Boleyn Girl. Scarlett might be the one who lives, but I promise you, Natalie is the one who leaves an impression. She's the one I wanted to keep watching. She's the one who's acting was just, so in-character, being more than who she is, as an actress.

Well, I stopped watching Fringe (college... stupid... missed the last episodes of Castle too *sobs*) But I could see it being hinted at it, especially when I caught a sneak where Peter actually called Olivia's house to talk to his SISTER. I mean, how can you hint at a pairing, make fans envision them and hope, then throw something like a sister with a KID into the mix? Bastards!

LOL Oh, gee. Sweetie, while I'm sure TLW is all kinds of superb, I'd rather avoid another fandom addiction; however, if the opportunity ever arises, don't think I'll turn away, not with the recommendations I've been getting :-P

*luffs* I don't feel so foolish about my overly sentimental nature now! And hey, that diamond bracelet ad sounds awesome! Can I marry that guy? :D

trust me, I am worse during movies
It's not so bad when I'm at home or at a friend's place but it's awful when I'm actually at the movies and then I get embarrassed at what the people around me are thinking! Star Trek had me crying in the first ten minutes, lol. CAMERON giving birth to JAMES KIRK...the trippiness of that scene wasn't enough to distract me from a weepie fit.

There's this ad about work safety, set to Dido's 'Here With Me', and it shows these families waiting for their loved ones to come home, and the focus is on this wife who's pacing and worrying, the kid's outside with a ball, waiting for his father to come and play with him, and there's news about an accident and everyone's worried and panicking...we see other people returning to their families safe and sound while this kid's still waiting anxiously...then his father turns up and everything's okay and they're laughing and hugging and kicking the ball around and AWW!

Voice over: ‘the most important reason for making your workplace safe...is not at work at all.

*sniffles* I think it's the music that gets me, it's a very powerful song and coupled with the emotion in that ad, yeah.

Fringe-EPIC FAIL. Can someone just cut all of Walter's scenes and upload them together so I don't have to watch this tortuous love triangle? I hate when writers clearly intend two characters to be together and then SABOTAGE THEM. *shakes fist*

Has Fringe been renewed? I'm interested in this other show, Eleventh Hour [I heard Torri pops up in an ep], similar kind of premise, they go investigating unusual phenomena- the guy's the quirky scientist, the chick's his bodyguard, there is fun banter and weird happenings...but it got canceled. *sighs* I'd've rathered that got another season than frakking Fringe.

Avoiding fandom addiction? O.o Y'know, that's what odakota_rose said to me when I brought up TLW... she had this funny idea that it wasn't healthy to engage in yet another fandom... PFFT. Lol.

But please, don't feel like I'm pressuring you- I feel obligated to pimp my show to anyone and everyone I can, but now that I've said my piece, don't worry, I won't badger you endlessly. ;D

Oh, hon, I cry at the beginning of Star Trek every time (and cried at the theaters too). I mean, the first time there was actual lip wibbling, long stream of tears. Now there's more lip wibbling, the desire to throw something, and just a few tears, but still, the emotion is there!

Dude. Just reading that commercial description got me feeling emotional *slaps self* OI!

*facepalm* I just realized I wrote "His sister" instead of "Her sister" *slaps self* In my defense, I think I was half-asleep.

I think Fringe HAS been renewed, can't remember. Hmm, Eleventh Hour... Sounds interesting, but I'm afraid I never heard about it till now.

LOL Yeah, that sounds about right. Often, we fangirls say, "NO! NO NEW FANDOMS!" Then wham, "Oh, look at the pretty! Well... just for a little bit... *three months later* LOVE LIVE THE FANDOM!" Uh-hu.

We're so easy.

*snorts* Don't worry, it takes a lot for me to be badgered XD Or even to feel badgered o.O
